Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® was founded on January 15, 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC as the first organization for college educated African American women. Since 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha has dedicated itself to the mission of our Founders, “To Be of Service to All Mankind”. With more than 300,000 members worldwide, we continue to be true to this mission.
Beta Nu Omega Chapter, which was chartered in 1936 on the campus of Alabama State College, has more than 82 years of service to the Montgomery and surrounding areas. We are proud of the contributions of the Chapter collectively and its members individually as citizens of the communities in which we live and work.
Our website contains information about the 2018-2022 Alpha Kappa Alpha International Program, Exemplifying Excellence through Sustainable Service, which are led by our International President, Dr. Glenda Glover. Additionally, you will find information on Beta Nu Omega’s implementation of these programs and other local initiatives.
